Still popular among locals and visitors, Hops wraps a large selection of craft beers and cocktails and an I'm-not-sure-why-it's-so-bougie but tasty menu of noms in a homey ambience. Bar side is more interesting than the dining room. The hot pastrami sandwich from the handhelds category is a winner, and Hops's fries are worth the upgrade. Reliable and friendly; for me it's more of a convenient meet up spot with great beers than a destination restaurant to bang out my food cravings.

We usually come to Hops 84 for brunch on the weekends. We've been here many times and it has never disappointed. Their sausage gravy is some of the best I've had in the Midwest. I've never seen Hops 84 not crowded lol. It also can be a bit noisy, but that's to be expected for a crowded place. Today we came for dinner. Hops 84 has one of the best beer lists in Holland. I can always find something that suits my taste. Today I had their special burger, The Saber. It was excellent. We also had the cheese curds app, as well as The Spaniard pizza. All were very good.

Solid dinner outing at Hops right on 8th street. Samuel de Boer, Holland's most successful restaurateur, recommended and joined us (after we were sat), calling Hops "downtown's best bet." And yes, Samuel was spot on. We sat at an outside picnic bench to avoid/skip the 45 minute wait. And we're SO glad we did. If the food's on point, a casual atmosphere can be more fun. Further, when we went inside to wash up, the dining room was bustling. It was nice to be able to chat and hear each other outside. We had the pretzel, burger, pasta, salad, reuben, potatoes, and all kinds of drinks. All dishes were presented well, had great flavor, and were exactly as expected. REALLY enjoyed the burger and fresh cut fries. Juicy, flavorful, and proportioned well, the burger is a dynamite menu choice. Jonathan (server) was friendly, patient, warm, made great drink recommendations, and pivoted without error (which we appreciate).

I see why this place was so hyped up. Really amazing chicken and grits. We also birria tacos, which were solid as well (if not a bit try). Definitely recommended!

This place is great! I was recently in Holland for a school things and visited Hops at 84 East with some friends. The pizza was so good! Unique menu options for everyone. The jalapeño margarita was super refreshing. Our server was attentive and helpful with suggestions. I will be returning during my next visit.

Pros: Great ambiance. Tons of menu items. Pizza was so tasty - fresh and perfectly baked. Stout was good. Cons: Server kind of forgot about us. Started strong and then disappeared. The red sauce that accompanied the goat cheese was so spicy it was almost inedible. Side caesar salad was meh - warm with wilted lettuce. Lobster roll was okay - the lobster was tasty, but, the honey on the bread was not additive.

One of the things I love the most is how their specials are always new, exciting, and tasty. They have price points for everyone and flavor profiles for everyone too. Their cocktails are also top notch as well as their huge draft menu. Service is always great too! Gotta come here for their live music which will have your feet tapping! They have huge garage doors which open when the weather is nice. It gives it Nashville vibes when there is a musician up there playing and the public can hear it too.

I love the beautiful downtown Holland and we came here expecting a party of 7 which was a big party. We arrived at around 4 which it wasn't too busy then but it definitely filled up as the night went on. It was the 20th of December so I think folks were gathering for the holidays. The service was. A little slow getting to us but they could have been short staffed. There were no happy hour specials unfortunately but they do have an extensive beer list and their wine was really good for being their house wine. Eventually we ordered one of their pizzas and wow! It was fantastic and very filling. The ingredients were fresh and cut into small pieces so it was easy to share. I liked the fact that they had iPads for the menus so that we reduce the paper waste. Overall it was a good experience just wish they had some specials for happy hour and a little faster service
